Codes of Conduct
BYLAW #1 — Spirit of Junior Football in WA
Every participant understands that Junior Football in Western Australia is delivered to the Community with the Spirit of the Game in mind.
It is incumbent on every participant, irrespective of their role, to:
- Prioritise junior player development over winning — learning to win and lose is part of the journey, but remains secondary.
- Maximise the enjoyment and development of junior footballers.
- Provide a game environment that is safe, fun and fair.
- Encourage and celebrate fairness, equality, respect and teamwork.
- Uphold, promote and protect the Rules, Laws, Codes, Policies and Spirit of the game.
- Not accept poor behaviours and deter practices that undermine the game environment.
- Adhere to any directive issued by the controlling bodies in the best interests of the above.
Wembley JFC stands firm against vilification, discrimination, violence, and abuse of any kind — toward fellow players, officials, and especially umpires.
